ECHOES OF LOGIC

Echoes of Logic lives in the in-between — a space where photography stretches beyond its literal form and becomes a field for experimentation. This curated body of works covers the years of 2020-current times, exploring the trajectory of my visions along with the growth of my experimental techniques. I approach the visuals in a psychedelic point-of-view, taking much of my inspiration from vintage psychedelia artworks, optical illusions, modern design, and deeper human emotions. This exhibit emerged from a desire to push against the constraints of traditional digital photography. I strategically layer digital and analog techniques, digital manipulation, and mixed media processes to discover what’s not immediately seen. Through abstraction and intentional distortion, I explore how memory, perception, emotion, and time can be imagined. I’m drawn to imagery that helps show how the human unconscious intertwines with our more concrete physical state. I want this body of work to provide open interpretation and dialogue for the audience. I incorporate digital and physical manipulation of photographs, digital designs, and alternative printing processes (polaroid transfers, for example). Some pieces will also make use of methods such as painting, ripping, and burning to help create a unique look. Each piece invites the viewer to consider not only what they’re seeing, but how they’re seeing it. Echoes of Logic aims to be introspective and almost dreamlike— building a visual language from fragments, frequencies, and the subtle rhythm of the world beyond our minds. (This page shows a variety of the work that could be presented, but the final exhibit will be more refined and carefully curated to about 20 works, some of which are yet to be created once the project is accepted.)
